Fundus Disease

The fundus of the eye is the interior surface of the eye opposite the lens and includes the retina, optic disc, macula, fovea, and posterior pole. If something is wrong about the fundus, we call it fundus disease which include retina, vitreous, choroid, tumors of the fundus and optic nerve disease. Ocular fundus disease is an important cause of blindness in China today. It has been a serious threat to people's health and quality of life. Fundus diseases are most commonly due to aging, but may also occur due to other diseases and drastic changes in physiology and psychology. And high myopia is a huge risk factor for retinal detachment.
